My name is Kent Weymouth, and I have been a Video Producer and Digital Artist
for more than ten years.
In 2003 I began traveling throughout California, visiting the wonderful lighthouses that grace our shore. I quickly discovered the rich history, impressive structures and courageous individuals of that era calling out to be rediscovered.
I began visiting all of the existing lighthouse structures in California, photographing them with the cooperation of the United States Coast Guard, National Parks, State Parks, the Bureau of Land Management, City Parks, Historical Societies and Preservation Societies.
After five years of research at California's Libraries, Museums, Historical Societies, and most importantly the United States Lighthouse Society, I finished my book:
"Lighthouses of the Golden State".
My greatest desire has been to give you accurate information gleaned from official documents, annual reports, personal letters and diaries.
To compliment "Lighthouses of the Golden State", I have created CaLights to provide you with more current information, photographs and links.
