(EBLS) offers a restful and relaxing lighthouse experience unlike any other. The light station went through a complete restoration in the late seventies, making it one of the most fully restored light stations in California. (EBLS) has become a very popular Bed & Breakfast destination, with the first guests arriving in November of 1980. The station can only be reached by boat, and the only way to visit the lighthouse is to stay overnight as a guest, there is no access for the casual visitor. To view the Light Station from the mainland traveling north on 580, take the last exit before the Richmond San Rafael Bridge, at Point Molate. There is no exit traveling eastbound so you will need to be heading west to find the turnoff. Continue North through the Point Molate Naval Station, past the site of winehaven (now deserted), till you reach the turn to the San Pablo Yacht Club.
Before you turn, the lighthouse can be seen to the left.
