The Long Beach Robot light is one of the least seen of California lighthouses. Positioned on the Long Beach Harbor breakwater, the Robot Light is hidden by a harbor filled with thousands of containers.
Trade valued annually at more than $100 billion moves through Long Beach, making it the second-busiest seaport in the United States.
This trade port does not host recreation boats or cruises, so very few people beside marine merchants have the opportunity to view this very unique structure. Damaged by weather and heavy seas, the structure is not necessarily sound. |
