The original Santa Cruz Lighthouse was torn down in 1948.

The structure that stands today is the

Mark Abbott Memorial Lighthouse.

Built in 1967, the memorial is home to the Santa Cruz Surfing Museum, open daily from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

Closed on Tuesday and Wednesday during the winter months

and Tuesday during the summer.

Across the bay sits the Walton Memorial Lighthouse, first lit in June of 2002.
